First published 1901, this is the fifth Impression. 5½ x 7¾" pp. 360 with 30 full-page b/w illustrations. Text block has wide margins, most decorated with drawings. Very good in green cloth with gilt stamped decoration to front board and gilt lettering to front and spine. Spine faded. Front and bottom edges untrimmed. Firm and tight; contents clear, clean and bright except for brown staining to endpapers. Owner's signature on ffep. No dustwrapper. 8 stories about individual animals. Seller Inventory # 000557
