Life is changing faster than Marilyn Hayes ever imagined.
Fresh off her biggest achievement yet—a stunning victory at an international Key Lime pie competition in New York City—the owner of SubLime Sweets finds herself facing opportunities she never thought possible. When a major food corporation offers to buy her beloved pie business for a life-changing sum, Marilyn is forced to consider a future far different from the one she carefully built in Key West.
But while Marilyn is contemplating the next chapter of her life, her daughter Tiara is writing one of her own.
After accepting a promising job offer in Denver, Tiara prepares to leave Key West behind. The timing couldn't be more complicated when an old college boyfriend suddenly reappears, determined to rekindle their romance. At first, his persistence seems harmless enough.
Until it isn't.
As Tiara repeatedly turns him down, his behavior grows increasingly disturbing. Then a shocking crime rocks the island, and Marilyn fears that someone close to her family may be in serious danger.
Meanwhile, changes are happening at SubLime Sweets. Kelcie's hard work and business classes finally pay off when she earns a well-deserved promotion, while Tim steps into her former role—with hilarious and often chaotic results that keep everyone on their toes.
With major life decisions looming, relationships evolving, and a dangerous mystery unfolding, Marilyn finds herself juggling more than she ever thought possible. As she searches for answers, she begins to realize that sometimes the hardest mysteries aren't about solving murders—they're about knowing when it's time to let go and embrace the future.
Can Marilyn uncover the truth before someone she loves gets hurt?
Will Tiara's fresh start lead her to happiness?
And is Marilyn truly ready to walk away from the business that changed her life?
Filled with heart, humor, friendship, family, and one final twist-filled mystery, it delivers a satisfying conclusion to the beloved Key Lime Cozy Mystery series while opening the door to exciting new adventures ahead.
Perfect for fans of culinary cozy mysteries, amateur sleuths, beach-town whodunits, women sleuths, clean mysteries, and heartwarming small-town fiction.
Join Marilyn, Tiara, Kelcie, Tim, and the entire SubLime Sweets family for one last deliciously deadly adventure in paradise.
