Most people don't believe this applies to them. But there are BILLIONS of dollars waiting to be claimed.
Life gets busy. You forget about that check that got stuffed in the back of a drawer, You move and forget to get the deposits back for your utilities. Retirement accounts from former employers fade from memory. There's a life insurance policy with you named as the beneficiary that you never knew about. Refunds and rebates get lost.
Additional information you won't find anywhere else includes "Tips to Prevent your Money From Going to the State," a comprehensive list of places to notify if you have a change of name or address or are an executor of a will. State laws that regulate finders are available with the state's contact information.
This is not a one-time process. New listings are added all the time. Search at least once a year.

You should not have to pay a ransom to get your own money. Now is a perfect time to get started!
