What if your childhood is?
In A Little Bit of Therapy and a Whole Lotta God, Mieshia invites readers into a deeply personal journey through motherhood, trauma, faith, and emotional healing.
When her daughter’s behavior begins triggering frustration she can’t explain, Mieshia is forced into an uncomfortable revelation: the very wounds she thought she had overcome are shaping the way she loves, disciplines, and connects.
What follows is not blame.
It’s breakthrough.
Blending raw memoir with reflective teaching, this powerful Christian healing book explores:
- How childhood trauma shapes adult reactions
- The difference between attention-seeking and connection-seeking
- Father wounds and perfectionism
- Breaking generational cycles
- Parenting through self-awareness
- Why therapy and faith are not enemies
- How God works through emotional honesty
This is more than a parenting book.
It’s more than a Christian memoir.
It’s a guide to becoming whole.
Through therapy sessions, honest prayers, and courageous self-examination, Mieshia models what it looks like to stop performing strength and start pursuing healing.
If you’ve ever:
- Loved God but still felt broken
- Been triggered by your child’s behavior
- Struggled with perfectionism or people-pleasing
- Wondered whether therapy aligns with your faith
- Wanted to break generational trauma, but didn’t know how
This book will meet you with grace and clarity.
Because sometimes the child you’re trying to correct… is the child inside you still asking to be seen.
Perfect for readers of:
- Christian women’s memoirs
- Faith-based personal growth
- Therapy and mental health integration
- Parenting and generational healing books
- Trauma recovery with a biblical foundation
Healing doesn’t require choosing between prayer and professional help.
It requires courage.
And this book shows you where to begin.
