Ten volumes. 8vo. Pagination varies per volume from 376pp.-505pp. Black and white photo frontispiece and tissue guard in each vol. Illustrated throughout with many black and white photo reproductions, black line and two-color maps. Vol. 6 has a color folding map. Vol. 10 with five pages of color maps showing the post-WWI partition of Europe, a chronology and index. Deluxe binding in quarter black ribbed morocco over blue pattern-sand grain cloth, gilt titles on the spine, top edges gilt, three-color endpaper maps. Board edges minimally rubbed, a few corners gently bumped, occasional scuffs to the spines ands spots on the fore-edge, faint toning to leaf edges, general evidence of having been read commensurate with age. A handsome, presentable set with the fascinating construct of encompassing all views of that horror known as the War to End All Wars.
