8vo (24.5 cm), CLXIII, 639 pp. Publisher's cloth, gilt-lettered spine (ex-library copy with usual stamps and marks, binding somewhat rubbed, hinges weak but firm). The first two volumes of the list of atlases in the Library of Congress were published in 1909, the third in 1914. An attempt was made to provide as comprehensive a description as possible, with some atlases listing all maps and some only maps related to America. The present fourth volume, published in 1920, contains descriptions of items 4088-5324 acquired since 1914.
