Paperback. The Lion and the Honeycomb. Underlining and ticks in margin in pencil to a couple of pages. Slight crease to corner front cover. Translated by Robert Chandler. Leo Tolstoy's maginificent novels - Anna Karenina, War and Peace, Resurrection are numbered among the classics of all time. What is less well known is Tolstoy's deep interest in the religious issues of his day, and, most of all, in the Gospel message. Over the years he recorded his changing views of Christ's words; not always othodox, they nevertheless throw new light on the mind of this great thinker and on Christianity belief itself. These writings have been newly translated from the Russian by Robert Chandler.158 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions, Reference books ,and all types of Academic Literature.).
