In the case of Desert Storm, accounts of the contributions of the great newsmakers are hitting the shelves with regularity. Harder to find are the perspectives of the ma ny who contributed their individual pushes to the war effort. This book helps fill that void. It focuses on the contributions of company grade Air Force officers to victory in the desert."--foreword ; "Captain Vriesenga presents a compilation of essays by 34 participants below the rank of major who contributed to the Gulf War. Their stories focus on such topics as deployment, organizational patterns of units, delegation of authority and responsibility, emotions and psychology of combat, the impact of combat losses, airfield construction, medical care, and aircraft preparations." ; VG.…
