Issued for the 1975 inauguration of the Centre for the Study of Cartoons and Caricature, this exhibition catalogue presents caricature in the cartoon, led by David Low's cover drawing. Published by the University of Kent at Canterbury, Canterbury, 1975; paperback, with no later printing, reprint, or impression stated. The title page records that the exhibition opened on Friday 31st October 1975. The cover reproduces Low's 'The Harmony Boys' (Evening Standard, 2 May 1940); the rear cover is a facsimile of cartoonists' signatures, among them Low, Vicky, E. H. Shepard, Strube, and Trog. No dust jacket, as issued. A clean, sound copy of this slim staple-bound exhibition booklet, without inscriptions or other marks. Very Good.
