About this title

Synopsis

Lin Visits the Forest is a bilingual, didactic, and interactive children's book for young readers who want to discover English and Chinese through stories, pictures, listening, observation, and active participation.

Lin enters the forest for the first time and discovers that it is not simply quiet and empty. Between tall trees, moss, leaves, light, shadows, small animals, tracks on the ground, and a shy deer, she learns to look closely and move carefully. Step by step, children discover new words, practice pronunciation, and connect language with what they see, hear, and observe.

Short reading passages, bilingual vocabulary with Pinyin, questions, thinking tasks, sentence-completion exercises, coloring pages, and interactive activities make the book suitable for families, schools, bilingual children, and language learners. QR codes can lead to audio files for the English and Chinese texts, so children can listen, repeat, and practice pronunciation independently or together with parents and teachers.

The book supports language learning, nature education, careful observation, and respectful behavior in the natural world in a calm, playful, and accessible way. Children are encouraged not only to read and learn, but also to ask questions, look more closely, and discover the forest with their own words.
