About the Author:
Takashi Tsuchida is Professor at the Department of Social and Environmental Engineering at Hiroshima University, Hiroshima, Japan. He was formerly the head of the Soils Mechanics Laboratory of the Port and Harbour Research Institute (PHRI, Japan).
Kazuhiko Egashira is the Executive Director of the Coastal Development Institute of Technology (CDIT, Japan). The CDIT is a research organisation that has the task to develop technologies related to the exploration and utilization of coastal zones. Related books that have been authored by CDIT workers are The Deep Mixing Method (2002) and The Premixing Method (2003). Both books were published by A.A. Balkema Publishers, Leiden, The Netherlands.
