Item description from seller

Review copy with publisher's slip laid in. A bit musty. Binding tight, text clean and unmarked. 1949 Hard Cover. 120 pp. A play by the author of Once in a Lifetime, You Can't Take It With You (adapted to film by Frank Capra), and The Man Who Came to Dinner, also known for his memoir Act One, which inspired a film and a Broadway play. The action takes places during and after a first-night theatrical tryout, and it alludes to prominent figures in the theatre world, and even attributes reviews of the fictional play to real-life critics.
