This first installment to the Light Bearers series introduces us to sisters Sarah and Amelia, who were orphaned at a young age and taken in by their wealthy uncle who has given them the best of everything. Amelia embraces their new life, but Sarah struggles to ever feel truly at home. Years after her parents' death, Sarah makes a startling discovery that plunges her into a darkness she never knew existed, one that will threaten to destroy her relationship with Amelia forever. If Sarah's instincts are right, there may not be anyone she can trust. But on an unexpected family vacation, Sarah meets a stranger who reveals a power within her she didn't know she had, and one she'll have to master to survive.

Life is hard for a high school teenager with no friends, sibling issues, and an absentee guardian, but Sarah still pins her hopes on an upcoming trip to bring her closer to her sister. Instead of finding restoration, she stumbles upon a darkness that most of the world doesn't even see. A darkness bent on consuming all of The Light and destroying humanity.
When Sarah enters a realm outside of time and her powers are revealed, she must learn to trust the voice inside her and the stranger with the piercing blue eyes if she has any hope of saving her sister...and the world.
