Go from surviving to thriving with 10 practical tools that will ensure there are more ups than downs in your life as a teen.
Are you buckling under the pressure of piling homework, looming exams, and worries about your future?
Are the trials of social media navigation, social dynamics, and peer pressure becoming more of a burden?
Do you find that you simply don’t have enough time to fulfill so many conflicting demands?
If the answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” you aren’t alone.
Some 90% of teenagers experienced physical and emotional symptoms caused by stress last year alone, and around 31.9% have some type of anxiety disorder.
What’s more than half of all teens cram for exams—which only adds to the stress of their academic experience.
And what about the complex world of social media?
Surveys show that teens are online for almost nine hours a day, and 90% of teens aged 13-17 regularly use apps like TikTok and Instagram.
And there are many good reasons for that.
Social media connects people, reduces loneliness, and allows you to access and share information.
But it has a downside.
It can portray perfectly filtered lives that don’t correspond to reality and can lead to comparisons with others and depression.
Know that these issues don’t have to ruin some of the best years of your life. Consider this book to be a complete guide containing all the strategies you need to be a confident, organized, successful teen.
Its signature 10-step SLAY SKills method will empower you to:
- Boost your confidence and self-esteem using 2 simple tools
- Get what you want and need—and hone the art of being a great listener
- Develop emotional intelligence and self-regulation skills faster than the average teen with techniques requiring minimal effort
- Discover the unstoppable force of resilience so you can bounce back from every setback
- Measure the health of your relationships and forge unbreakable bonds with friends, family—and even your crush!
- Manage your time efficiently in 10 practical steps
- Set achievable goals in any area of your life—featuring guidelines for choosing the right career and college
- Harness creative, critical thinking strategies to achieve unique solutions—with enjoyable, surprising activities to boost critical reasoning
- Discover the only problem-solving tool you need to find and implement savage solutions to a host of problems—including peer pressure
- Become tech-savvy, secure your online footprint, and use social media responsibly— and make a difference in the lives of others
And much more.
Perhaps you’ve wandered onto online teenage advice columns and sought survival methods from the digital world.
Sadly, the information is often irrelevant and time-consuming, or it offers generic advice you’ve seen a million times before.
Fortunately, this survival kit gets right to the point, with clear strategies and practical ideas for putting them into practice.
