Marcus Blackwell Sr. explores the nuances, joys and challenges of living life as a Christian from the perspectives of a father, son, brother and husband. Although not a PK in the traditional sense, Rev. Blackwell captures the essence of living life as formed from a village of "surrogates". This particular group constitutes the "preachers" who work to form his ethos, character and pointed destiny. From the wisdom and knowledge gleamed from his family, ministerial leaders and even adversaries, Marcus has benefited tremendously and is now offering advice on how to live the abundant life Jesus speaks of from scripture. With a breadth of experience in business, entrepreneurship, pastoring and now chaplaincy, Rev. Blackwell offers a unique perspective on his successes and challenges. Further, he is blessed with a true anointing that especially flows in music, worship and praise experiences. God has gifted him with wisdom and keen discernment that has enabled his ministerial influence to grow, and will undoubtedly speak to some element of your life. With an extensive professional career in banking and finance, Pastor Blackwell offers some nuggets of wisdom in business strategy. Navigating intricate relationships, both personally and professionally, is key in not getting too bruised along life's journey. Hence, we explore some deficits that may bring about tensions, separations, heartaches and duplicitous patterns which could have long term consequences. Most profoundly however, you'll observe his deep appreciation to those who help make some sense of life and jettisons you to your ultimate purpose. Marcus Blackwell Sr. was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and graduated from Morehouse College (B.A.) and the University of Connecticut (M.B.A.) After receiving his call to ministry, Rev. Blackwell later graduated from Hartford Seminary and Yale Divinity School, respectively. He subsequently pastored the Ledyard-Gales Ferry Baptist Church. Pastor Blackwell now serves as a Corrections Chaplain, a real estate developer, and Music Director for a local congregation. His mission is to help others succeed just as God has blessed him.
