Full leather binding with elaboarate gilt decorations on both covers and spine showing foliage, a lion attacking a man, and a man in manacles. Hinges reinforced internally with tape. 6" split to leather along rear joint. 3" split to lower end of front hinge. One plate is detached but present. Book measures 12 1/4" by 9 7/8". ; 4to.
