Paperback. Meet Clive. and his teddy bear, Big Ted. Growing up in England in the late 1950s and early 1960s, Clive's world was filled with adventure, mystery, mischief, and laughter. There were tree-climbing expeditions, narrow escapes, curious relatives, unforgettable friends-and a teddy bear called Big Ted who could talk (although only Clive's father could hear him). Every story in this book really happened. Clive fell into a giant barrel of icy water as a toddler, tumbled from a sixth-floor hotel window, survived a terrifying plunge into a lake that may-or may not-have contained monsters, and somehow managed to reach adulthood with plenty more tales to tell. Written for readers aged 8 to 80+, The Life of Clive is a warm, funny, and nostalgic collection of true childhood adventures. Younger readers will discover a world before supermarkets, mobile phones, the Internet, and video games, while older readers may find themselves smiling as they remember their own childhoods. So, pull up a comfy chair, meet Big Ted, and prepare to step into a world where every day brought a new adventure and every corner held a mystery. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
