Owner's name followed by the date Jan 1912 on half-title page of Vol 1, so likely to be end of 1911 or beginning of 1912. The books appear to be bound in 1/2 red leather, though it is very thin. The labels are in a contrasting green leather with title in gilt. Top edge gilt, other edges rough cut. Both volumes are sunned to the spine. There is bumping to the foot of the spines which are rubbed with some surface loss. There is a visible repair to a split at the head of the spine of vol 1 and a small chip. (pictures available). Some rubbing to the surface to the rear board. Internally, name & date to half-titles as mentioned. A few spots to the prelims. Clean and in good order.
