Item description from seller

[iv], 27, [1]pp., 8vo. With the half-title, an advertisement for Edward Young s poem The Force of Religion on verso, and with a page of publisher s advertisements at the end; some browning and staining. Disbound. First and only edition. Historical explanations for plays were regularly published around this time and doubtless sold not only at bookshops and by chapmen but also at theatres. This pamphlet is much more unusual in being an exposition of a poem, suggesting perhaps that the nine days reign of Lady Jane in 1553 was less well-known in 1714 than it might have been. Eleven locations in ESTC.
