THE NEW COLLECTIBLE! This is a Limited Edition Uncorrected Proof copy, often designated as an Advance Reader's Copy/ARC (though they are usually not technically the same.) As such, this small-print-run state precedes the First Edition - hence its collectibility. This large paperback edition appears to have the same size page-block as the subsequent hardcover. It is Moore's masterful tale of a Canadian missionary on a poor Caribbean island, who rescues a child from poverty and directs him into the priesthood and his eventual revolutionary leadership of the island's people - only to encounter violent resistance from the lighter-skinned elite and the ruling military junta. 216+ pages, with the publisher's publicity bulletin laid-in. CONDITION: a bright, tight, square, unmarked, uncreased copy with negligible shelf-wear - now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag.
