293p, many photos and line ills. Some offsetting from the plates. No jacket (as issued?). Textbook, with test questions at the end. Chapters by Thomas A. Bird, Homer J. Buckley, Henry S. Bunting, E.N. Ferdon, and Samuel C. Dobbs. On window trimming and commercial display, direct-mail and print advertising, specialty advertising (on calendars, pens, hat bands, "novelties" such as desk items, umbrellas, etc.), and advertising clubs. The second photo shows a $5,000 window in a St. Louis department store, "one of the most expensively finished windows in the world." Lots of forgotten details about material culture are here! Covers dented and stained here and there; edges shelf rubbed; internally very good.
