(11x81/2ins x 4ins thick), [i]-viii+[i]-xvii[I]+19-1391[1]pp., at some time rebound in full polished calf, gilt extra, multiple decorative gilt rule to boards, edges and highly decorative turn-ins, spine gilt lettered between gilt ruled raised bands, with new marbled endpapers, little rubbing but very sound and handsome. This Book contains an account of the valuations of all the ecclesiastical benefices in England and Wales, which are now charged with the Payment of First Fruits and Tenths, or were lately discharged from any Payment of those Revenues on account of the Smallness of their Income and which are for the same Reason entitled to receive the Benefit of the Royal Bounty . as are set forth in the excellent Rules of the Corporation founded and constituted by her late Majesty Queen Anne for that Purpose . "The Liber Regis is a beautiful MS. transcribed as tradition says, by a Monk of Westminster, one copy of which was lodged in the King's Library and the other in the Court of the First Fruits and Tenths in the Exchequer."
