Print on Demand. This book presents a collection of letters written in the 17th century by French physician Guy Patin to his friend Charles Spon, another physician. Patin's letters offer fascinating insights into the social and political events of a tumultuous period in France, including the regency of Anne of Austria and the Fronde rebellion. The author provides detailed accounts of life in Paris during the mid-17th century, including the activities of the French court, the medical practices of the time, and the intellectual and cultural currents of the era. The letters also contain valuable information on the history of medicine and science in France, as well as on the political and religious controversies that shaped the country's development. Patin's keen observations and lively writing style make this book a rich resource for anyone interested in the history of France, medicine, or 17th-century European society. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. …
