Good+ condition 2-Volume set. Da Capo Press reprint edition. Ex-Library with library markings. Richard Henry Lee was one of the most significant political figures of the American Revolution, best remembered for his motion at the Second Continental Congress to declare independence from Great Britain. He also signed the Articles of Confederation and the Declaration of Independence and served as president of the Continental Congress and later, as a senator from Virginia. His correspondents include many of the luminaries of the time including John Adams, John Dickinson, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Samuel Adams. Neither of these volumes has a cracked spine although the first volume's spine is a little shaken. Both have the expected library markings on the spine, adjacent parts of front and rear covers, front pastedown and first free endpage. Aside from the library markings, pages are clean and unmarked. Exterior covers and spines show some very light soiling -- hardly noticeable. Volume 1 has one lightly bumped corner, Volume II has three bumped corners. Light rub wear to top/bottom edges, tips of corners. We will pack the books in bubble-wrap and ship them in a sturdy box to ensure safe delivery. Bookseller Inventory # ABRP36
