Orig. paperback. With numerous black-and-white illustrations throughout, some of which are full-page. Lothar Hermann (1901 - 1974) was a German Jew and concentration camp survivor who contributed to the identification and arrest of Adolf Eichmann, one of the major organizers of the Holocaust. The book reconstructs Lothar Hermann s life based on his letters, archival materials, and international research. It focuses on: Hermann s persecution as a Jew in the Nazi state, his emigration to Argeina, his role in the discovery of Adolf Eichmann, his daughter Silvia s relationship with Klaus ("Nick") Eichmann, his contacts with Nazi hunters such as Tuviah Friedman, his connections to Hesse s Attorney General Fritz Bauer, as well as the subsequent historical distortion and marginalization of Hermann s role. The publisher s description describes the work as a blend of family history, historical research, and "detective suspense." In particular, the book seeks to correct some common misconceptions about Eichmann s capture. According to lectures and archival records, Saidon and his co-researcher Robert Lough spent several years working with primary sources in Argentina, Germany, Israel, the United Kingdom, and the United States.; Jahr: 2019; Format: Oktav; Anzahl der Seiten: 453; Auflage: 1.; Zustand: 2 (good copy)Shipping costs displayed on some platforms (mainly AbeBooks/ZVAB) may differ from the actual costs for items over 500 grams or in larger formats.
