[xv] 368pp. Red cloth boards w gilt title to spine. An unintentional chronicle of North-Western India and Kashmir. Spine slightly baggy and lightly bumped and worn at top and bottom, front panel sunned and soiled unevenly along top third. Internally very good w b & w photographic portrait of the author and a few b & w photographic illustrations throughout. Some red dye possibly from the cloth has leached through onto edges of eps and first few pages inc title page, other minor stains and foxing in places inc frontispiece and illustration opposite page 112 which is also loose at top. Pages 89-92 have some damage to their edges. Despite this generally a nice, tight, bright and clean copy. Seller Inventory # 005142
