From a Letterman to a Better Man depicts the story of the rise and fall of the infamous Dallas Carter High School football team; but from the personal vantage point of Patrick "PK" Williams. Williams, a defensive player for the Carter Cowboys at the time, chronicles his journey from "pedestal to prison" where he served 3 years, 4 months and 19 days, which is one of the chapters of the book. His story is one of redemption, humility and his quest to be a better man.

Review
“Patrick ‘PK Williams has a story to tell, a story of redemption. As a TV journalist, I covered the trial of Patrick and the others from Carter High. But it wasn’t until after he got out of prison that I came to know the man PK had become – a man of faith and family. A man I am proud to call a friend and a Brother in Christ.”
Richard Ray
TV Anchor/Reporter (KDFW/Fox 4)
"Although I was the counsel for one of the others that was accused at the time, I remember Patrick well and am not surprised he has come out on top again. I commend him for taking this huge leap of seeking forgiveness for his mistakes and hope that his story of redemption will help our community to continue in the healing process.”
Royce West
Texas State Senator, District 23
Managing Partner, West & Associates L.L.P.
"I was able to witness PK’s heroics as a teenager at Carter and I’ve also seen him bounce back from trials and tribulations to become the outstanding man he is today. We look for miracles all the time, and sometimes they’re closer than you think, as PK has proven. Much success in the future, brother!"
