8vo. 71, [1] pp. New purple boards, paper label with manuscript title "Dott. G. Rasori" in black ink. 3 puncture marks to final 3 leaves. Lightly foxed. Very good (note punctures). On leg ulcers: 'Letter From Dr. G. Rasori to Mr. Dr. Pietro Rubini Containing an Extract From Mr. Underwood's Treatise on Ulcers of the Legs e[t]c.' Rasori was a noted translator of English medical texts, especially those of the Scottish physician John Brown. Rubini studied medicine abroad and was a student in Edinburgh for nearly two years. A bust of Rubini stands alongside a bust of Rasori in the atrium of the University of Parma medical school.
