Bellamy, in her book exceedingly well written, but 13'e7ry incorrect in of the father of Ge neral Gansel, that he had, in his youth, made a vow, never to have more than one sort of animalfood on his table, at one meal that he, ever after, religiously observed his vow and that, when she fiaid him a visit at his house in the country, he entertained her at sufifier, on her arrival, with three boiled chickens, three bmiled ones, and three roasted ones.
