This volume contains âA Letter To ... Daniel Wilson In Reply To His Defence Of The Church Missionary Societyâ and âA Second Letter ... On The Hostility Of The Church Of England Missionary Society Towards The Society For The Propagation Of The Gospel.â Written by John Bayley S. Carwithen, these letters represent a detailed response to Daniel Wilson's defense of the Church Missionary Society. The letters delve into the complex relationship between missionary societies and explore the theological and practical implications of their work. Carwithen's work offers valuable insight into the religious debates of the time and the challenges faced by missionary organizations in their efforts to spread the Gospel.
