You are never too young or too old to make your dreams come true. Lessons From My Grandfather shows how you can achieve success and fulfillment in life by following 15 timeless principles handed down by the Marc Demetriou’s grandfather, Haralambos Georgiou Pistis, —or just “Charlie.”
An Ellis Island immigrant, Charlie came to a new country at age 16 with nothing but a bag full of dreams, courage, wit, and the desire to succeed — and he transformed his world. Through his steadfast willingness to work hard, and a determination to control life rather than allowing it to control him, Charlie succeeded on his own terms, finding happiness and financial security.
In these pages, Demetriou tells Charlie’s inspirational story, then applies his lessons to today. The result provides both clarity and vision for helping you recognize your unique talents, along with lifelong principles that will allow you to identify and reach your goals in life and business. This book is an essential blueprint that you can use for today and tomorrow. As Demetriou likes to call it, “success made simple.”
Marc Demetriou is a top-rated speaker who has appeared at the Mastermind Summit along with world-renowned motivational speaker Tony Robbins and Barbara Corcoran from ABC Television's Shark Tank. As an authority on real estate and finance, Demetriou has been quoted in articles in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Reuters, the Associated Press, and many other local and national publications and media outlets. Additionally, he was co-host on WVNJ's popular The Real Estate and Money Show. Demetriou also is the proud father of three daughters.

Review
“Marc Demetriou has written a superb success guide unlike any other. Based on fifteen universal principles, Lessons From My Grandfather will help you achieve the success you deserve in life and business.” – Barbara Corcoran, founder, The Corcoran Group, and investor on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning show, Shark Tank
“I encourage you to read Marc Demetriou’s new book, Lessons from My Grandfather. One of the best ways to learn something is by associating yourself with someone who knows more than you do. By reading this book, you will be able to associate yourself with someone who truly knows the meaning of success.” — Don Green, CEO and Executive Director of the Napoleon Hill Foundation
"If Napoleon Hill had found out about Marc's grandfather, he probably would have some of grandfather's life episodes and experiences in his works. Marc has turned his grandfather's ancient wisdom into a practical and easy to understand guide for success for new millennium. This epic work brings a new hope of giving you another way of looking at your world in which you can have, be and do anything you want, irrespective of your age, gender or race.” — Satish C. Verma, President & CEO, Think and Grow Rich Institute
“Lessons From My Grandfather has tremendous value for high school and college students. A compelling read, the book has great potential for helping young individuals find their way along the complex road that leads to adulthood.” – David C. Verducci, Ph.D., Superintendent of Schools, retired.
“Your book is a powerful tribute to your grandfather and to all of us who were so influenced by grandparents who came from another country, who came to this great country for a better life ” - Steve Adubato, PhD-Emmy award-winning anchor, author and executive coach
“This book is about dreams, hope, and happiness fulfilled through courage, perseverance, humility, and an attitude that anyone reaching for success will treasure. Charlie, the immigrant, who received no public recognition or accolades in his lifetime, has a greater monument in a book by his grateful and adoring grandson who shares with all of us Charlie's profound lessons for a great and successful life.” – Anthony Scardino, Jr., New Jersey State Senator (ret)
”Marc has reflected on his teachings of his grandfather and others close to him to embody witticism, lessons, and inspiration in dealing with all of the challenges and opportunities in front of anyone seeking success and fulfillment.” – Chris Martin, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of The Provident Bank; President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Provident Financial Services Inc.
