For everyone who loved “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime”
Based on a true story about growing up Neurodivergent
Rory feels as helpless as a lemon wobbling about in a game of Crazy Golf.
Everything she does is wrong and everything her confused mother
does to help only makes things worse.
Everyone says she should just try harder so
she tries to keep a diary, but can only manage one halting sentence at a time.
But Rory does excel in one thing - she has a boundless imagination.
She creates a magical world so intense that it blurs fantasy and reality
until it finally spirals out of control, leaving her to discover
that even the most innocent inventions can have powerful
and heartbreaking consequences.
She only wanted to be good at something.
Now she is hurtling toward disaster.
A deeply moving coming-of-age novel, The Lemon Golf Diary will make you laugh, ache,
and remember what it feels like to be misunderstood.
