About the Author

Prof. Dr. h.c. Hasso Plattner ist der Vorsitzende der "Enterprise Platform and Integration Concepts"-Forschungsgruppe am HPI, die sich vor allem auf das In-Memory Data Management f�r Enterprise-Anwendungen konzentriert. Sein Profil: Autor und Co-Autor von �ber 50 wissenschaftlichen Publikationen, Hauptredner auf Konferenzen wie ACM SIGMOD, derzeit Gastprofessor an der Stanford University Institute of Design, Mitbegr�nder der SAP AG, der er bis 2003 als CEO vorstand, heute ist er Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrats. Die SAP AG ist der f�hrende Anbieter von Enterprise-Software-L�sungen. In seiner Rolle als Chief-Software-Berater konzentriert er sich auf die Definition der mittel-und langfristigen Technologie-Strategie und -Ausrichtung von SAP.
