The lyrics of an ancient oracle are the fragile hope that binds them.
In a fractured world on the brink of global conflict, one mission could alter the course of history.
Officer Natan of the Union Federation-a fragile alliance of democratic nations-is sent on a high-stakes rescue mission across a war-torn continent. His goal: locate and escort Ambassador Ophir, the revered High Priestess of Alehl, and deliver her safely to his Union's congress.
With his closest ally, Petra, and a team of hand-picked companions, Natan uncovers deadly truths throughout the mission. While facing off against chemically enhanced mercenaries who have lost their humanity to a mysterious drug, Natan learns of the dire situation that threatens to sweep the nations.
Meanwhile, guided by the ancient oracles of her homeland, Ophir carries the burden of a sacred calling: to negotiate peace for the Achih, a people fighting for freedom amid the chaos. She walks a dangerous line between prophecy and politics, knowing that one wrong step could doom not only the Achih-but the world.
As alliances fray between nations, families, and friends, a treacherous conspiracy unfolds within the Federation itself. At the center of lies a cunning politician with ties to both Petra and Ophir, who is orchestrating a false-flag operation that could shatter their hopes for peace.
A vital question looms: can the oracle's promise of hope prevail over the lust for power and ethnic cleansing?
Perfect for fans of immersive fantasy world-building and political intrigue, this first entry in the Legends of Alehl series is a substantial yet approachable read at just under 90,000 words. Dive into a richly layered tale of deep lore, complex characters, and high-stakes drama that will captivate lovers of epic fantasy.
