Paperback. How do you explain to a child why mass shootings happen? What are some concrete things that people can do to survive a mass shooting event? This book attempts to answer these questions in an honest and straightforward manner with illustrations intended to keep children interested but not frightened. It seems like there is a new mass shooting every week in the United States. Lockdown and active shooter drills are now routine practice in schools and other venues. Children should learn about why they are happening. Learning About Difficult Subjects: Mass Shootings is the second book in a series intended to explore challenging topics for children. The other books are Learning About Difficult Subjects: September 11, 2001, Learning About Difficult Subjects: Cancer, and Learning About Difficult Subjects: Dementia. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
