IB Learner Profiles: A Practical Guide for Stakeholders is a practical, visually engaging resource designed to help educators, school leaders, parents, students, and the wider learning community understand and apply the ten International Baccalaureate (IB) Learner Profile attributes in everyday life. Rather than presenting theory alone, this book translates each learner profile into meaningful classroom practices, real-life examples, reflective questions, and actionable strategies that can be implemented across different educational settings.
Written in a simple, reader-friendly style, this guide is suitable for both newcomers to the IB and experienced practitioners. Each chapter includes colorful diagrams, infographics, practical tips, and stakeholder-specific guidance, making complex educational concepts easy to understand and apply. Every page has been thoughtfully designed so it can also be reproduced as a classroom display, discussion prompt, or professional development poster.
Whether you are nurturing young learners, supporting your child's educational journey, or leading curriculum implementation, this book provides practical tools to help develop internationally minded, compassionate, reflective, and lifelong learners. It is an ideal companion for IB PYP schools, while also offering valuable insights for educators working in any curriculum who wish to foster curiosity, critical thinking, communication, integrity, and global citizenship.
Inside the book you'll discover:
-
Practical explanations of all ten IB Learner Profile attributes.
-
Real-world examples for classrooms, homes, and school communities.
-
Easy-to-understand visuals, charts, and infographics.
-
Reflection questions and discussion prompts for learners of all ages.
-
Strategies for teachers, parents, school leaders, and students.
-
Printable pages that can be used as classroom posters or training resources.
-
