Who was Lazarus anyway? He doesn't speak a single word in the Bible. We have no record of his great acts of faith. Yet he is described as the one Jesus loves. This audio book is the final in Joanna Weaver's life-changing Bethany trilogy, Lazarus Awakening invites us to experience a divine shift in how we view our relationship with God. The idea that Jesus could love us apart from what we do is unthinkable for many. Others of us find it difficult to believe in God's compassion when we don't see Him intervening in the painful circumstances of our lives. But as the reality of God's deep affection moves from our heads to our hearts, the stones of unbelief roll away from our spiritual tombs and we are freed to live vibrantly in the light of truth. As Joanna says, The story of Lazarus reveals the scandalous availability of God's love if we will only reach out and accept it. Even when we don't deserve it. Even when life is hard and we don't understand. Lazarus Awakening shatters our spiritual formulas and calls us out of the tombs we often dwell in, clearing a path to the sweet intimacy God longs to enjoy with each of His children. Here we discover that Jesus loves me is not just a phrase to recite but a truth that can infuse every moment of our days.…

but sometimes you wonder if He truly loves you.
For many of us, moving the truth of Gods love from our heads to our hearts is a lifelong process. As we consider our inadequacies or grieve our shattered dreams, we find it difficult to believe that God cares for us personally.
In this life-giving book, Joanna Weaver shows you how to embrace the truth that Jesus loves you apart from anything you accomplish, apart from anything you bring. Just as He called Lazarus forth to new life, Jesus wants to free you to live fully in the light of His love, unbound from the graveclothes of fear, regret, and self-condemnation.
Love is calling your name.
Combining unforgettable real-life illustrations with unexpected biblical insights, Joanna Weaver invites you to experience a spiritual resurrection that will forever change your understanding of what it means to be the one Jesus loves.
Includes 10-week Bible study (adaptable for 8 weeks) for both individual reflection and group discussion.
