Original cloth, rebacked retaining spine, gilt titles to spine and front board, which has the text "My Lawyer or a [large image of a key] to English Law," endpapers renewed. Light rubbing to boards and board edges, corners bumped and somewhat worn. Moderate toning to interior, light foxing to title page and a few other leaves. $450. * Only edition. This sophisticated and comprehensive layman's guide to all areas of English law is arranged alphabetically by topic. Supplemental update volumes for this book, which transformed it into a serial publication, were issued through 1904. All are rare today.
