“In a conversational style, Gabriel Gordon challenges his readers to think, to question, and to search. This work may feel uncomfortable, but the prophetic voice rarely comforts. The reward for reading with Gordon is the possibility of greater understanding, greater humility, and a greater possibility for hope. I recommend this book of short forays into an alternative theological vision.”
Thomas Jay Oord, Author of The Uncontrolling Love of God"
"Gabriel Gordon's collection of essays invited me to think again. The book opened a window to pondering fresh perspectives. Gordon's invitation to reconsider fundamental assumptions challenged me without bullying, opened my mind rather than leaving me defensive. Welcoming, stimulating and refreshing!"
Brad Jersak (PhD)Author of A More Christlike God and A More Christlike Way."
"This book is full of so many great insights and perspectives on Jesus, the Bible, Cultural Christianity, American Evangelicalism and Practical Theology it's hard to put down or to dismiss. My friend Gabriel Gordon is a voice some of you may not know very well, but based on what he's written here, I suspect this won't be the case for very long. I'm very grateful for writers, thinkers and status-quo-shakers like Gabriel Gordon, who fill me with great hope for a new generation of Christ-followers that look, act and love like Jesus. May this tribe increase!"
Keith Giles Author of Jesus Unveiled: Forsaking Church As We Know It For Ekklesia As God Intended and co-host of the Heretic Happy Hour Podcast.
