It didn’t prepare them for this.
MacKenzie was never supposed to see Evan again. Not after their relationship fell apart during internship year—when matching to different cities shattered their plans and their engagement. She’s built a new life since then. She's raising her son, minding her business, and staying far away from the mess of her past.
But when her son enrolls at an elite swim academy, MacKenzie walks straight into a reunion she never asked for.
Evan. Her ex. Older. Finer. Still the one man who makes her forget how to breathe.
Evan has questions. About why things ended the way they did. About why seeing MacKenzie again makes it so hard to focus on anything else. About whether fifteen years is too long to fix something that never should’ve broken.
The chemistry between them? Unresolved.
The baggage? Unpacked and sitting poolside.
The meddling exes? Working overtime.
They never got closure. Now, they might get something hotter.
