Later printing. Volume six only. Quarto. Illustrated in color and in black and white. Blue decorative clothcovered boards stamped in gilt with the publisher's illustrated paper label affixed to the front board. Very good with light wear to the spine and a few pages with a small tear at the bottom not affecting the text. Contains sketches of the lives of the authors and several indexes for the series and essays relevant to children's literature such as "The Interesting History of Old Mother Goose" and "What is a Myth?".
