Very Good copy in original decorative publisher's cloth with matching slipcase. Binding remains firm and square. Cloth is clean and bright with only light shelf wear. Interior pages are clean, crisp, and free of writing or markings. Slipcase is present and structurally sound with moderate rubbing, edge wear, and light toning consistent with age. An attractive example of this mid-century production. Lasting Ideas presents a curated history of successful advertising, marketing, and sales promotion campaigns from the eighteenth century through the mid-twentieth century. Published by The Reader's Digest Association, the work combines historical commentary, period illustrations, advertising artwork, quotations from influential publishers and marketers, and examples of notable promotional efforts. Decorative typography and numerous reproductions of early American advertising materials enhance the volume's visual appeal. An interesting reference work for collectors of advertising history, business history, Americana, graphic design, and marketing literature. The book captures the evolution of commercial persuasion and public relations during a period when advertising was becoming a dominant force in American culture. Copies retaining the original slipcase are increasingly difficult to find in collectible condition. Carefully packed and shipped in a box. Shipped via USPS with tracking provided. International shipping available. Additional photographs available upon request. Please review photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
