Paperback. Sebastian thought he had his future mapped out: criminal justice degree, police academy, following in his grandfather's footsteps. But a failed colorblind test shattered those dreams, leaving him pushing beds and stretchers through the endless halls of a hospital. Nine miles of corridors. Hundreds of patients. And more death than any twenty-six-year-old should have to witness. Between morgue runs and dodging violent patients, Sebastian navigates a world where dark humor is the only survival mechanism and human connection feels impossibly distant. When he finally finds love, it comes with a literal stab in the back. And when he discovers his true calling might be the music he abandoned years ago, he must decide whether to keep merely surviving or start truly living. Raw, darkly funny, and unexpectedly moving, The Last Responder takes readers into the hidden world of hospital transport-where life and death decisions happen in hallways, ghosts linger in the shadows, and one man's journey to find purpose becomes a testament to resilience in the face of life's cruelest ironies.Sometimes the most profound stories come from the most overlooked corners of our world. When your job is moving bodies-both living and dead-every day is a reminder that life hangs by a thread. This item is printed on demand.
