Paperback. She traded her sword for a rolling pin. The town wasn't sure what to make of that. After twenty years as a mercenary, Brynn Ashgrove is done with battles. She wants flour, a working oven, and a village that doesn't know what she used to be. What she gets is Hollow Bend - a community of retired warriors, nervous scribes, grudging fishmongers, and one very opinionated battle-mage who has claimed the chair by the window and refuses to move it. The bakery she buys comes with more than she bargained for: a locked cabinet that won't open, a brass key that doesn't fit it, and fifteen years of letters tied with a faded green ribbon - all left behind by a woman the town loved and never quite understood. Brynn didn't come to Hollow Bend to solve a mystery. She came to bake bread. But some things - like dough, like people, like old letters kept for reasons nobody ever explained - have a way of rising on their own. The Last Loaf at Hollow Bend is a cozy fantasy novella about starting over, found family, and the quiet courage it takes to build something worth staying for. Perfect for readers who loved Legends & Lattes and The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy - warm magic, low stakes, and a community that earns its place in your heart one chapter at a time. Includes seven original recipes - bread, honey spice cakes, oat cookies, shortbread, and more - woven into the story and ready to bake at home. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
