TERRORISM, GANGS, DRUGS, VIP PROTECTIONNew Zealand has not escaped terrorism the mass shooting of ninety-one people at two Christchurch mosques in 2019 being the most recent incident. NZSIS and GCSB have been more open about the threat of terrorism and espionage in recent times. Politicians still prefer to downplay it. They should not. White supremacists, nationalists, religious radicals and other fanatical groups breed lone wolves intent on terrorising our society. Make no mistake, New Zealands Police Special Tactics Group are prepared and ready for them.Neither are we free of violent gang warfare and the insidious presence of foreign drug cartels and crime syndicates. Those who pedal illegal substances to the demise of the innocent. Those who kidnap, rape, torture, and murder. They live by a different code. A different set of rules.STG, formerly the Anti-Terrorist Squad of the seventies and eighties, have their own set of rules. They operate within the law, but they push the boundaries. Every outlaw gang in this country know who STG are when they turn up. They fear them, despise them. They wreak havoc upon those who dare to flout the law and place lives at risk. And Craig Edge should know, having been an STG operative. With thirty-seven years of service in the New Zealand Police under his belt, he gives readers an insiders glimpse of what it takes to deal with terrorists, New Zealands worst criminals, and high-security VIP protection. TERRORISM, GANGS, DRUGS, VIP PROTECTION.New Zealand has faced terrorism, gang warfare and drug cartels. The Police Special Tactics Group - feared and respected - push boundaries to protect lives. Former STG operative Craig Edge gives an insider's glimpse into fighting terrorists, criminals and guarding VIPs.
