I’ve made a pact to marry the next man I date.
Yes, I know. It does sound like the kind of decision that should require adult supervision. But after years of bad dates, wasted time, and men who were very definitely not The One, my friends and I decide it’s time to get serious. No more messing around. No more Mr. Wrong. Just one last first date… with my future husband.
Which is why I do what any sane, rational woman would do: I investigate my chosen man like I’m with the FBI. And honestly, Parker Hamilton looks perfect. He’s handsome, charming, cultured… and a doctor. A doctor. Practically the patron saint of Good-On-Paper Boyfriends.
So naturally, this should all be going to plan.
Except for Will Jordan.
Will is my smug, infuriating coworker, the kind of man who gives people nicknames, knows exactly how to get under my skin, and somehow keeps appearing in my life at the worst possible moment. He's not part of The Plan, and he's absolutely not supposed to be more distracting than my actual future husband.
But the more I try to make everything with Parker fit my perfect happily-ever-after, the more Will keeps ruining things. And by ruining things, I mean making me laugh, challenging me, and being alarmingly easy to fall for.
Which is inconvenient because I’ve already chosen my One Last First Date. And I’m starting to suspect I may have picked the wrong man.
