About the Author: Hugh Trevor-Roper, Baron Dacre of Glanton, was a historian of early modern Britain and Nazi Germany. He was Regius Professor of Modern History at the University of Oxford and a fellow of the British Academy. His book The Last Days of Hitler is widely acclaimed and highly regarded to this day. He died in 2003.
