Print on Demand. This book is an extract from the novel, The Last David. It is a historical novel and excerpts from this work provide a glimpse into the final throes of Judah's last king. Here, the very last days of King Zedekiah's reign are recounted in epic verse form. The work explores what it meant to be a prophet or a king at this time and does so through the experiences of that last king. It's a story of the struggle for power, with fascinating insights into the human condition, King Zedekiah being at the centre of much conflict. The author deftly captures the period atmosphere and the sense of impending doom as the forces of the Babylonians advance on Jerusalem. The author draws inspiration from the biblical narrative of the time to craft a compelling and fresh perspective. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
