Print on Demand. This book is an exploration of the idea that language is an expression of thought and that correct thinking precedes speech. The author believes strongly that training in oral language should precede written exercises. Therefore, there are numerous exercises that give students the necessary practice in expression. The book provides a study of many of the best poems of American writers and many poems that the author hopes students and teachers will find time to read. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
