Wolf engraved by Hansart. + Folding Map at rear of the Damara & Great Namaqua regions, Original cloth faded at spine and thinning at edges, with some edge rubbing and corners bumped, embossed gilt motif of Hippo & Rhino on covers, uncut edges. Some foxing to plates and a little also to some pages, but light, tissue guards to each plate, original yellow endpapers, old small ink inscription top edge of endpaper "James Lea. Alkington Hall [Shropshire, now a farmhouse] & the lozenge shaped blind stamp of J. Galt Booksellers to the Queen, Manchester. A clean tight copy in original cloth Rare.
